Tokyo Revengers and BanG Dream's Collaboration Is About to Be Released Internationally

After waiting for almost a year, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! players and fans may now play the game's partnership with the well-liked delinquent anime Tokyo Revengers on the worldwide server.

Wednesday saw the English debut of the partnership, which Craft Egg and Bushiroad had previously released in Japan in May. It will allow users to download Tokyo Revengers’ opening and closing theme music, as well as various delinquent outfits for the game’s protagonists. The players will gain from this partnership in a number of ways, including special events to obtain three-star LOCK and MASKING members and a gacha system to obtain 4-star LAYER, CHU2, and PAREO, who will perform the girly rendition of “Cry Baby,” the opening theme song from Bang! the Tokyo Revengers. Afterglow, a different group from the franchise, sings the closing song “Tokyo Wonder” though. A special objective reward that was inspired by Tokyo Revengers and a costume modeled after Mikey’s attire are other items in the game that may be acquired during this event.

The next-generation girls’ band “BanG Dream!” combines live performances with animated characters. It is a media series that spans live performances, video games, and anime. Voice actors from the animated series “Poppin’ Party,” “Roselia,” and “RAISE A SUILEN” have started live bands and are currently doing live shows. A fourth live band, “Morfonica,” was formed and announced in March 2020. In 2022, a new band called MyGO!!!!! made its debut inside the series.

Craft Egg Inc. and Bushiroad Inc. collaborated to create “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party,” a fun music rhythm game for mobile devices set in the same “BanG Dream!” scenario. The game has received awards for “App Store Best of 2017 – Top Game Ranking” and “Google Play Best of 2017 – Grand Award for Players’ Favorite Game and Appealing Game” in Japan. *The English edition is available everywhere with the exception of Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. It will have its fifth anniversary in April 2023.

Ken Wakui is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Tokyo Revengers. From March 2017 to November 2022, it was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, with each chapter being collected in a separate tankbon book. From April to September 2021, Liden Films’ adaptation of an anime television series aired on television. The start of the second season was in January 2023. In July 2021, a live-action film adaption was released in Japan, and a follow-up is expected in 2023. One of the most popular manga series ever, the manga had over 70 million copies in print as of December 2022. Tokyo Revengers won the shonen category of the 44th Kodansha Manga Award in 2020.
