New Trailer Reveals June 23 Debut for Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out Anime Film

A new trailer for the upcoming anime film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out was revealed at the AnimeJapan 2023 event. The trailer previews the first of the two sequel anime film projects based on the Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series by Hajime Kamoshida. The video also reveals that the film will open in Japan on June 23, 2023.
During the same event, the staff revealed the main visual for the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out film. The visual features Sakuta Azusagawa, the main character, and his younger sister Kaede Azusagawa.
The sequel anime project will adapt the eighth and ninth volumes of the Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series: Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid. The project is being directed by Sōichi Masui at CloverWorks. Masahiro Yokotani is in charge of composition and scripts, while Satomi Tamura is returning as the character designer.
The returning cast members for the sequel anime project include Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, Yurika Kubo as Kaede Azusagawa, Nao Tōyama as Tome Koga, Atsumi Tanezaki as Rio Futaba, Maaya Uchida as Nodoka Toyohama, and Inori Minase as Shōko Makinohara.
Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai), the television anime adaptation of the light novel series, premiered in Japan in October 2018 and aired for 13 episodes. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and other services.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (Seishun Buta Yarō wa Yume-Miru Shōjo no Yume wo Minai), the anime film that adapts the sixth and seventh volumes of the light novel series, was released in Japan in June 2019. Aniplex of America and Funimation Films screened the film in the United States.
Yen Press is releasing the original light novel series in English.
Fans of the Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series and anime adaptations can look forward to the upcoming Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out film, set to release in Japan on June 23, 2023.
