New Manga Licenses by Seven Seas: Threesome, Elf & Mage, Hero's Level

The comic series We Started a Threesome! Shin Plus-Sized Elf, The White Mage Doesn’t Want to Raise the Hero’s Level, Training Mister Sakurada, and Into the Tentacle Cave have all been licensed, according to a statement made on Wednesday by Seven Seas Entertainment. Into the Tentacle Cave, an approved film, and Mister Sakurada’s training. New Manga Licenses by Seven Seas: Threesome, Elf & Mage, Hero’s Level.

The first book of Aki Katsu’s manga We Started a Threesome! (3 Partner Hajimemashita!!) Will be available in December from Seven Seas Entertainment. The publisher’s description of the manga is as described below:

Childhood pals Ria, Suisei, and Emito fell in love with each other. As a wedded couple, they now reside in the same house! Ria and Suisei commute to work each morning, and at night, Emito prepares scrumptious meals he hopes they will appreciate. Follow their everyday activities as they deal with difficulties, rejoice in successes, and enjoy the more private aspects of marriage.

Launched by Katsu in December 2018 and shut down in April 2021, “e Big Comic 4” was a website dedicated to the novel Shogakukan. In June 2021, Shogakukan released the third and last issue of the manga’s compiled book.

 Futari H (Manga Sutra), which calls itself a “love bible” or a “user’s manual” for persons in love, has been drawn by Katsu (Psychic Academy, The Vision of Escaflowne) in Young Animal and Young Animal Arashi since 1997. In November 2020, the 82nd edition of the manga’s compiled book was released by Hakusensha.

On the brand-new Harem manga website created by Hakusensha, Katsu debuted a spinoff manga in November 2018 named Futari H Another. A live-action series from 2000, three live-action movies from 2011 to 2012, and two original video anime (OVA) episodes were all influenced by the Futari H manga. In April and May of 2019, it then served as the inspiration for two more live-action movie versions.

In North America, Manga Sutra, Psychic Academy, and The Vision of Escaflowne by Katsu were released by Tokyopop. Step up love story is the title of a DVD that Media Blasters licensed and distributed in North America of the 2002 OVAs.

In September 2023, Seven Seas Entertainment will publish the first book of Synecdoche’s Shin Plus-Sized Elf (Shin Elf-san WA Yaserarenai.) manga. The company will also start with the first book in August and continue with later volumes of the Plus-Sized Elf (Elf-san WA Yaserarenai.) manga in new editions with fresh covers. The updated editions take into account the latest Japanese volumes that Akita Shoten has released.

A rather peculiar patient is assigned to massage practitioner Naoe-kun just as he is about to leave for the day and go home. Shin Plus-Sized Elf, the “second season” of the prior Plus-Sized Elf manga, was released by Synecdoche in LINE Manga in November 2021. The second compilation book edition for the manga was released on February 2 by Akita Shoten.

The seventh collected book of Plus-Sized Elf was released by Wani Books in October 2020 after the series debuted in December 2016 on the Comic Gum website. The manga began a six-month hiatus in May 2021 in order to switch publishers to Akita Shoten. It then resumed in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion magazine in October 2021 and ended shortly after with the release of a new eighth book by Akita Shoten in November 2021. The seventh book of the original manga was released by Akita Shoten on February 20 after the first seven volumes had been republished starting on June 20.

The White Mage Doesn’t Want to Raise the Hero’s Level by Kirie will be published in print and online by Seven Seas Entertainment in January 2024. The publisher’s description of the manga is as described below:

In March 2020, Kirie published the first issue of the manga on the Flex Comix website, Comic Meteor. The fourth volume of the manga’s compiled book will be released on Friday by Flex Comix.

In November 2023, Seven Seas Entertainment will publish Training Mister Sakurada (Sakurada-senpai Kaiz Keikaku) manga under its Seven Seas BL brand, both digitally and in print. The company describes the manga:

Sakurada Hajime is craving a date and a good time. Despite the fact that women have gradually grown disinterested in him since his playboy days in his 20s, he can’t get enough of them. Under its Ghost Ship imprint, Seven Seas Entertainment will publish the first volume of Abi’s manga Into the Tentacle Cave (Inbi Na Dkutsu no Sono Oku de) online and in print in October. The publisher’s summary of the manga is as described below:

The Black Ooze is a demon that can take the power of anything it comes in contact with, and it is hidden deep within the tunnels of an abandoned mine. It gains intelligence and insatiable sexual desire after consuming its first human male, much to the dismay of a sorceress who unintentionally approaches its territory. The heroes will soon discover why monsters should be feared as they search for fame and fortune in these caverns!

Abi’s manga, based on Umetane’s original story, was first launched on Nico Nico Seiga and ComicWalker under Kadokawa’s Comic Vamp label in December 2021. The manga’s second volume was published in November 2022. Umetane’s story was originally serialized in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō story website’s Nocturne Novels adult section in August 2013, with the latest chapter released in May 2022. Kadokawa began publishing an edited version of the story digitally in November 2015, with Afukuro as the artist. The artist was later changed to Tsukineko starting from the sixth volume, with the 16th volume debuting on January 13.

In addition to Abi’s manga, Shueisha is also publishing another story based on Umetane’s original work titled Isekai Jūrin -Inbi Na Dōkutsu no Sono Oku de-, with Bonnie as the artist. The first volume of this story debuted in July 2020, and the fourth volume was released in May 2022. Both stories explore the world of isekai and involve thrilling adventures in mysterious locations.
