It has been over a week since NBA 2K23 has been made available to the public. Now, update 1.0005 which was released on September 19 has introduced some quick fixes to the popular basketball game.

NBA 2K23 is looking good in terms of sales so far in its short lifespan. The game is already being praised by players for being a great upgrade over its last few precursors in the franchise, but that doesn’t make it a perfect basketball game.

2K Sports released a patch on September 19 that aims to make the game more stable for the next-gen consoles. The update also patched some more issues to make the experience smoother.

September 19 update patch notes

The game’s health was the most important thing that was affected by the new patch. While the developers are tight-lipped about what exactly they needed to work on, the 1GB update clearly required some heavy lifting.

Their official Twitter account also claimed there were no gameplay changes made, some fans are suggesting that the infamous VC glitch was fixed and that some MyCareer issues were also fixed.

One of these issues was the signing of a player’s shoe contract, an area where players were unable to make any progress. However, if this info turns out to be correct, players should be able to handle it without any hassle now and progress towards winning the game’s signature mode.

This update follows a significant fix for the post-hook bug that was enabling users to score at will during a game using the big man move. The developers are yet to put an official word on any other changes currently, but we will keep you updated with the latest information.
