Modern Warfare 2: How can players unlock Minibak

Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer has also run into several issues, with features getting removed because of wallhacks, game crashes, and gun progression not functioning properly. 

For players who are wondering the same, this is indeed an issue in the game, but it’s not there by mistake. For a game this magnitude and playerbase, it’s very likely to witness several issues at launch. fortunately, old games back in the day didn’t allow players to update the game. So they had to make do with whatever they had. 

The Minibak not getting unlocked is indeed painful, but there is an explanation. 

How to unlock the Minibak?

To unlock this weapon, players are required to progress through the Kastovia platform weapons. While the process seems bit too long, players will be able to get through it swiftly. Following are the break-points for each gun that players need to use to unlock the SMG:

• Unlock the Kastovia 762 in MW2.
• Leveling up the Kastovia 762 to level 12 will unlock the Kastov 545.
• Leveling up the Kastov 545 to level 13 will unlock the Kastov 74-U.
• Leveling up the Kastov 74-U to level 18 will unlock the Minibak.

Reason behind the Minibak not unlocking

The Minibak is a weapon that doesn’t go by the traditional way of progression; it needs a player to master and level up other weapons before being able to get their hands on it.

Players won’t be able to unlock the Minibak SMG by spending several hours on the Vaznev-9K. Besides, players can unlock the Minibak Receiver only by leveling up the Kastov 74-U to the 18^th level.

Obviously, players mistook this for a glitch in the game. The CoD developers just wanted to stir up things by making a non-linear reward path, which managed to confuse a lot of players.
