The 2021 League of Legends World Champions, held in October last year, has been awarded the “Best Esports Event” at The Game Awards 2021. This is a great honor for the tournament, as it shows how Riot Games has managed to take esports to another level when the world was crippled by the pandemic. The 2021 League of Legends World Championships is said to be one of the well-organized events that were held last year.

In fact, the competition was pretty fierce, as The International 2021 and Valorant Champions Tour was also nominated in the same category. Despite that, the 2021 League of Legends World Championship managed to clinch the title. The tournament is a testament to the company’s dedication to the esports competitive scene.

There is no denying the fact that last year wasn’t great for esports. The pandemic made it difficult to conduct tournaments around the world. Many tournaments got canceled while others were held within closed doors. Despite that Riot Games managed to conduct the League of Legends World Championships 2021.

Just a few days before the tournament was supposed to start, Riot Games switched the official venue from China to Europe. This was due to trouble in getting Chinese visas for teams and technical staff. Thus, the event was moved to Iceland, but the company still managed to conduct the event seamlessly.

At the League of Legends World Championships 2021, Riot Games didn’t face any technical or production issues, and all the matches were conducted as per order across the event. So, we can safely assume that League of Legends World Championships 2021 winning the award is the right choice.
