The developers are also planning to share a lot of other details on the game’s new update in a deep-diver blog, which should feature new Gulag systems, looting and loadouts.

In the original battlefield we saw several iterations of the Gulag maps. It may be possible that the Gulag map will be a refresh for season 2, however, it was usually reserved for every 2 or 3 seasons in the original game, so it is more likely that we will see a new Gulag map in Warzone 2 season 3 or 4.

During the season, fans and popular content creators raised complaints about the current Gulag system, and the 2v2 mode is pretty much toss-up when it comes to getting a second chance at life.By far the biggest concern was the chance to get a partner who didn’t match their aggression level or playstyle, often forcing a partner into a 1v2 position that is very difficult to win. It also didn’t help that a new AI fighter called Jailer was added to the Gulag, adding even more uncertainty to the mix.

Players who are familiar with the Gulag mechanic in Warzone 2 will know that the Gulag has received some major changes since War Zone 1. This includes the default 2v2 option as well as the jailer. Players can get ready again by either winning 2v2 from the Gulag or hitting the jailer. The latter mechanic allows all players in the Gulag to be remodeled. Given Infinity Ward’s announcement, what can we potentially expect for Gulag in season 2?

In a 1v1 battle, the only person a player can rely on is himself, making it the perfect way to prove his worth to the battlefield. This change, as well as other adjustments made to the team, led to a delayed start to the second season of Warzone 2, but with more time on hand, fans are hoping that the popular Battle Royale will soon return to its former glory.
