Inaugural K-State esports tournament aims to be the first of many

The organisers of an “esports” tournament at Kansas State University stated that they are making plans for future events. The field of competitive gaming is growing at a rapid pace, making it all the more interesting and popular. K-State recently hosted the inaugural WTC Fiber Cup esports tournament, with fifteen students participating in the tournament. It was sponsored by WTC Communications of Wamego. The tournament was further broadcast live on streaming platform Twitch by Wildcat 91.9 FM. Students provided colour commentary of the tournament. The event witnessed five teams of three people being pitted against each other in the game Rocket League. It witnessed an arcade-style game combining elements of soccer and auto racing.

Registrations start for inaugural edition of All India Esports League (AIEL) by Ultimate Battle
