The movie was shown in 1,780 theatres, marking a successful start to its release. The latest instalment of the popular anime franchise, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc, has had a successful opening weekend both in the United States and in its home country of Japan. According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned an estimated US$10,117,806 over the course of three days, with Friday’s earnings at US$4,220,412, Saturday’s at US$3,447,394, and Sunday’s at US$2,450,000. This strong performance resulted in the movie ranking at #4 in the US box office rankings for the weekend. 

The film has now amassed a worldwide gross of US$35,082,046. In Japan, the movie debuted at #1, selling 813,000 tickets and earning 1,158,765,410 yen (approximately US$8.75 million) in the first three days of its release. Initially, the film was screened in 418 theatres in Japan, with later screenings added in MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema from February 25 onwards. The successful debut of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc underscores the ongoing popularity of anime content both in Japan and abroad.

The highly-anticipated screenings of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc will feature episodes 10 and 11 of the Entertainment District Arc, along with the first episode of the new arc.
