Tundra Esports, the reigning champions of The International 11, have been experiencing a rough patch in their form since claiming the coveted title. The team barely clinched the Lima Major slot in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 Tour 1, finishing fourth and putting up a dismal performance in the event, ultimately finishing in the 9th-12th position. In a post-match DPC interview, player 33 of Tundra Esports insults teammates.

However, Tundra Esports has shown promising signs in Tour 2, having won back-to-back 2-0 victories. In a recent post-match interview, Neta “33” Shapira, the team’s offlaner, was asked about what went wrong during Tour 1. In a sarcastic tone, he brushed off the question and insinuated that his team always had issues, but he had never struggled with anything himself.

Despite the setbacks, Tundra Esports seems to have regained its footing and is showing signs of the dominance that led them to win TI11. Fans are eagerly anticipating their future performances as they progress through the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 Tour.

In DPC 2023 Tour 1, Tundra Esports’ 33 playful criticises comrades for their lack of form

Tundra Esports emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against Nigma Galaxy in their second series in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division I. In both games, Neta “33” Shapira displayed his impeccable skills on his signature hero, Doom, ruthlessly farming both creeps and heroes.

When asked about why his exceptional Doom gameplay didn’t result in wins for Tundra in the previous season, 33 humorously deflected the blame onto his teammates. He quipped, “Nothing really changed. It’s just that my team was full of noobs. They weren’t winning, so I couldn’t carry them. The team is always the problem. I was playing flawlessly as always.” Despite the tongue-in-cheek remark, 33’s exceptional gameplay was crucial in securing the victory for Tundra Esports. The team’s recent performances have shown signs of promise, and fans eagerly anticipate their upcoming matches in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 Tour.

After experiencing a dip in motivation due to lackluster performances in the first season, Tundra Esports is looking to get back on track with their trademark map movements and lane performances in the current season. Despite the lack of breaks this year, the team has found ways to relax and reset, as Neta “33” Shapira shared in a recent interview.

In his usual humorous tone, 33 singled out Oliver “skiter” Lepko, teasing him about the quieter atmosphere at the bootcamp with only two people present. “It’s a lot more relaxed when it’s only two people. You don’t have constantly noisy conversations and people yelling and skiter yelling,” he joked. However, the team seems to be in good spirits, with 33 stating that “everything feels good” and they are happy. The team is taking things one step at a time, playing and chilling while hoping that things will work out for them this season.

With the WEU region being the most competitive this year, it will be interesting to see if Tundra Esports can reclaim a spot in the top two positions. Their next series in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division I is scheduled against Entity on March 20th. Fans are eagerly awaiting their performance and hopeful for their success in the tournament.
