Some of the most sought-after items in Apex Legends are heirlooms and prestige skins, but it’s difficult to predict when you should expect one. For every 500 non-event Apex packs, players are guaranteed one set of Heirloom Shards, but there is no in-game indicator of how many packs they have actually opened during their time playing.

One website has the information you need if you want to know how close you are to earning those bragging rights. One astute fan created a calculator that helps you figure out how many packs you’ve opened using the “bad luck protection” 500 packs metric. The tool builds a step-by-step breakdown of your Apex pack history based on your account level and battle pass progress. Even though it’s still only an estimate, it helps you gauge how much further you still have to travel to obtain those Heirloom Shards.

How to Determine the Number of Apex Legends Packs Opened:

It’s simple to check how many Apex Packs you’ve opened because you can do so based on your Account Level, Seasonal Pass badge number, and other factors. You must: To determine how many Apex Packs you’ve opened based on your Account Level.

  • Here is a link to the Apex Packs Calculator.
  • Enter your account level first. This number can be seen on the default level badge on your banner and is located above your head in the game lobby.
  • The calculator will then calculate how many packs you have earned from those levels once that information is entered.

If your account level is 200, for instance, you would enter that into the calculator, and the number beside the word “Account,” in this case 109, represents the number of Apex Packs you have unlocked. Additionally, you can enter your Battle Pass Level for each season and indicate whether you bought the standard or premium Battle Pass for that season. The website’s data is all up-to-date as of season 16. You must: To ascertain your Battle Pass Level from previous seasons.

  • Find the season’s badge by going to any legend’s Banner section under the Legend tab. Your level is indicated by the number on the badge. On the calculator, the seasons are arranged by year, so scroll down to see them all.
  • When you know the badge number, you can enter it in the appropriate season to find out how many packs you have earned for that season. If you purchased the Battle Pass for that season, don’t forget to check the box.

You can also enter information for events, quests, Twitch Prime members, and the number of Apex packs you’ve bought from the shop. Make your best guess to determine your location if you are unsure of how many packs you have received from these categories. You can estimate the total number of Apex packs you’ve opened during your playing time by adding up all of the numbers in the red bubbles after all the data has been entered into the calculator.

This will give you an estimate of the number of Apex packs you’ve opened overall. If your percentage is below 50%, you might want to think twice before purchasing the over 250 packs required for a guaranteed heirloom. Although publisher Respawn guarantees at least one Heirloom for every 500 packs, the legendary material could still be unlocked at any time, so don’t give up. The 500-pack mark is referred to in the calculator as “bad luck protection” for a reason. You’ll eventually arrive.
