Epic Games is taking a more conscious and direct approach to protecting young Fortnite players with a combined account system and also in the Fortnite game. Epic will begin the rollout of Cabind Accounts, a new type of Epic account that offers a tailored experience that is safe and inclusive for young players while maintaining access to the gameplay you love at Fortnite.
Being a free-to-play game, Fortnite is accessible to millions of potential players around the world, ranging from young children to older people trying to shut down a bit after a long day of work. If you need more information about epic games of cabined account work in the fortnite Game then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.
With the start of Chapter 4, Season 1, Epic wants to ensure that young players are able to play in a safe environment away from toxicity (for the most part) and may even have the ability to spend money, protecting parents from some headaches when they look at their credit card balances.
If you are under the age of 13 or the age of their country’s digital consent, whichever is higher, a player’s account will automatically change to a cabin account. This will be done when they input their age the next time they login to Fortnite. Players around the world will see a one-time request for their age when logging into Fortnite. If you are a young player, your Epic account will be a cabin account and you will be asked to provide a parent or guardian’s email address to begin the parental consent process.
Don’t worry about losing access to already purchased content as it will all be normally available. However, the following features will be disabled. With a cabin account, you’ll be able to play Fortnite with full access to content already purchased or acquired in the game, but will need to set parental controls to access certain features. Once your parents have set up parental controls, your experience will respect the settings they choose and your account will no longer be a cabin account.
When the owner turns 13 years old or if their parents and/or guardians are not aware of it. Or if the guardian gives them the parental consent to do so, the account can gain the ability to access all lock-out features. Additionally, as we announced in September, if you’re under the age of 18 and haven’t previously provided your age, you’ll see some settings reset to the highest privacy option.
Chat to “None” by default, your profile details are hidden, parties’ default to “Invite Only”, and personalized recommendations will be turned off. If you’re under the age of 16, you’ll also have a mature language filter default. If your defaults have changed, you will be notified and you will have the option to change your account settings if they are not otherwise restricted by parental control or cabin account. And that’s it! We love that Epic Games is providing more protection for the young Fortnite community and we hope parents will take these steps seriously in the future.”
