Honkai: Star Rail Reaches 10 Million Pre-Registrations Ahead of Launch

HoYoverse’s highly anticipated space fantasy RPG, Honkai: Star Rail, has achieved a whopping 10 million pre-registrations, double its initial goal of 5 million. The game is scheduled to launch on 26 April, and to celebrate the milestone, HoYoverse has hosted raffles across the game’s official social media accounts.
Honkai: Star Rail is the latest game by Chinese developer HoYoverse, famous for its hugely successful game, Genshin Impact. The game is the spiritual successor to HoYoverse’s Honkai Impact 3rd, and it combines open-world exploration, roguelike dungeon traversal, and turn-based RPG combat into an exciting adventure across a vast universe.
The game takes place in a wide variety of worlds with a colourful cast of characters. Players control a party of up to four characters, each with their own roles and elemental alignments. As an amnesiac young man or woman, players will explore different worlds and take control of the Astral Express, a group of trailblazers who travel the universe in pursuit of the Stellaron. Along the way, players will form bonds with the Astral Express crew, collect the Stellarons, and aid the people they meet in creating a brighter future.
The Aeons, who hold dominion over The Paths, are the game’s ruling class, and players will curry their favour while fighting against the Stellaron Hunters, a group of mercenaries with questionable goals. The game’s playable characters include March 7th, Dan Heng, Welt Yang, Himeko, and Pompom, who is the conductor and mascot of the Astral Express.
Players who pre-registered before the initial goal of 5 million was met received rewards, including the 4-star character Serval and 20 Star Rail Passes, 50,000 credits, and the ‘Trailblazer — Welcome’ Avatar. The Star Rail Passes are a form of in-game currency that players can use to acquire characters and equipment through Honkai: Star Rail’s gacha system, called ‘Warps’, equivalent to ‘Wishes’ from Genshin Impact.

HoYoverse has opened raffles across the game’s official social media accounts where 20 lucky players can receive gift cards worth around US$100. With pre-registrations surpassing 10 million, there’s still time to board the hype train for Honkai: Star Rail. The game is still accepting pre-registrations on their website.
Honkai: Star Rail will be available on Android, iOS, and PC when it launches on 26 April, with pre-installation becoming available on 23 April.
