According to reports, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, is apparently preparing for a major marketing campaign in Miami. Fans are speculating that this could be the first indication of a promotional push for the long-awaited GTA 6.

It’s been nearly ten years since the release of GTA 5 in September 2013. During this time, we’ve advanced through several console generations without receiving any official news about the next installment in the GTA franchise.

Setting aside any leaked gameplay or insider reports from the past, Rockstar has been keeping its progress on the highly anticipated GTA 6 tightly under wraps. Apart from the confirmation that the game is actively being developed, no official information has been released. Consequently, any small piece of information usually triggers a frenzy among fans, and the recent unverified post on Reddit from May 9 is no exception.

A huge marketing campaign in offing

A mysterious printed document surfaced on the ‘GamingLeaksAndRumors’ subreddit from a recently created account, which has since been deleted. This letter, purportedly from Take-Two Interactive, outlines a significant marketing campaign for an undisclosed “triple A” title in Miami. Although there is no way to confirm its legitimacy and the Grand Theft Auto series is not specifically mentioned, the mere existence of this letter has once again sparked rumors and speculation among fans.

According to the alleged letter, Take-Two Interactive has reportedly contacted The Guild Downtown, a luxurious hotel in Miami, with a proposal to display an advertisement on one side of its parking garage. The letter states that the ad would remain in place for a year, beginning in the late summer of 2023.

Naturally, it’s prudent to approach this information with a healthy dose of skepticism. It’s entirely possible that the document is fabricated, and even if it is authentic, there’s no conclusive evidence that it pertains to GTA 6 as the primary title in question.

The rumors leave fans divided

Given the extended timeframe of the marketing campaign and the fact that it will take place in Miami, a location that is rumored to be featured in the upcoming game, some fans are already inclined to believe the letter’s legitimacy.

Despite the hopes of some fans, many are skeptical about the authenticity of the letter. Some have pointed out flaws such as the basic design of the business card and have even suggested that the text may have been generated by artificial intelligence.

At this point, all we can do is wait and see whether this supposed plan will actually materialize. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long since summer is just around the corner. If Take-Two is indeed planning to ramp up marketing for GTA 6, we’ll likely hear about it in the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any new developments here.
