GTA 6’s story campaign might be the first game in the franchise to include online co-op mode. GTA fans are convinced that they have found clues of the same in leaked gameplay footage.

The GTA 6 in-development footage was leaked back in September 2022, shocking the whole gaming world. The leak confirmed that the game would be returning to Vice City and will have a female protagonist alongside a host of other gameplay features new to the franchise.

Although Rockstar has yet to announce the long-awaited game or provide fans with an update on the game’s development for months, the leaks have offered fans a lot to get immersed into. One such clip featuring the upcoming game’s playable characters, Jason and Lucia, has revealed a new co-op feature where two players will be able to play as a team.

GTA 6 co-op story mode

In a Reddit thread, a user wrote about one of the leaked footage showcasing the gameplay features of both protagonists in a club. However, there was something interesting that fans might have missed in the first go.

“Lucia’s character doesn’t move like an AI after all, she moves like it’s being controlled by another player,” the Reddit user wrote. “That might also explain the share inventory function in the game.”

Players were quick to jump on the hype train, with some even believing the feature would be a “great” addition to the game and praised it as a fun way to experience the upcoming game in the franchise.

But not all fans were excited, as they were skeptical about how so many players will be able to enjoy it and suspected how will Rockstar pull off missions involving only one character.

This discovery comes just a week after another GTA 6 Online clip resurfaced on the web. The footage showed a 32-player count for the mode — something Rockstar insider TezFun also noted back in November.

We recommend our readers take this with a pinch of salt, as it’s likely that any co-op modes could be cut from the final product on launch. So, till then, it’s best to wait for the company to make an official announcement.

GTA 5’s Dr. Friedlander returning in GTA 6?

Players who have played the final set of missions for Dax and The Troupe in the Los Santos Drug Wars, will spot Dr. Friedlander from the main story. He’s Michael’s therapist, who players get the option to kill in the game.

Even if players kill the character, he somehow survived to make it into the new update. Some players believe it could have links to GTA 6 given the much-talked-about codename of ‘Project Americas’ and supposed links to the drug trade that is said to be a major part of the story.
