God of War Ragnarok will see the dynamic duo of father and son — Kratos and Atreus take on new challenges. In this article, we will discuss the details of the game known so far.

Back in September last year, the PlayStation Showcase offered fans of God of War a sneak peek of the much-anticipated title. If you’re among the people waiting for God of War Ragnarok hit the consoles, here are all the details you need.

God of War Ragnarok release date

God of War Ragnarok has been confirmed to release on November 9, 2022. The news will comfort several fans of the series who were worried that the game could get hit with more delays.

God of War Ragnarok platforms

God of War Ragnarok is expected to be a PlayStation exclusive, and hence only PlayStation 4 and 5 owners will be able to enjoy the game. However, with Sony eventually opting to release the 2018 version on PC, there’s a possibility we see the next chapter coming on PC in the coming days as the game publisher has made several exclusives available to PC owners.

God of War Ragnarok gameplay

Similar to 2018’s God of War reveal, the footage showcased a short but epic gameplay trailer that confirmed several aspects of the game. Both Kratos and Atreus are returning, with gameplay appearing similar to the previous entry, although both characters can now be seen with a variety of new skills, powers, and weapons.

It seems a portion of the quest will be to rescue the Norse God of War, Tyr. It remains to be seen how the developers take care of this perspective. After all, Kratos has become his counterpart after taking down Ares in the first God of War game in the franchise.
