Genshin Impact version 2.7 is just days away, and leaks regarding the forthcoming banners have set the internet ablaze. If things go accordingly and there aren’t any unexpected delays, players will be able to unlock Yelan and Kuki Shinobu in the first and second half of the update, respectively.
Alongside new characters, HoYoverse is coming back with some 5-star characters through the character event wish-2 banner in each update. Patch 2.7 shouldn’t be different, and a reliable insider has talked about Xiao’s imminent return.
A credible leaker who previously predicted Keqing’s skin, Shenhe’s banner, Zhongli and Ganyu’s rerun, and update 2.5’s weapon banner, has now said that Yelan and Xiao will be featured in the first half of the 2.7 update.

If the leaks are to believed, then Xiao and Yelan’s banner will share the featured four-star characters. BLANK also recently spoke about Xiao’s inclusion in the 2.7 storyline. The Yaksha will be among main characters, but this doesn’t mean he will have a rerun banner.
Xiao’s previous rerun banner was done during Genshin Impact version 2.4. It will be surprising if he gets a rerun ahead of Yoimiya andKazuha, who haven’t got their first rerun banners.
In the first half of the 2.7 update, the weapon banner will see a boosted drop rate for signature weapons for expected characters. These include the Aqua Simulacra bow and the Primordial Jade-Winged Spear polearm.
Currently, the tipster hasn’t said anything about the featured four-star weapons in the Epitome Invocation banner in patch 2.7.
Travelers can expect Arataki Itto’s rerun banner in the second half of the update, which should also feature the new four-star character Kuki Shinobu.
The weapon banner in the second half is also said to pack Arataki Itto’s signature claymore called Redhorn Stonethresher and Memory of Dust, a five-star catalyst.
The community has had a mixed response towards these leaks. While some players like the idea of Kazuha and Yoimiya returning before Xiao, others are skeptical about Memory of Dust in the weapon banner.
