British coach Ian “Immy” Harding, a former CS:GO player who turned to FPS hero Riot shortly after its 2020 release, will lead G2 Valorant. G2 Esports Managing Director Alban Dechelote said the team has “always loved Valorant” as it hosted the inaugural EMEA Ignition Series tournament and won the Game Changers tournament with G2 Gozen, a one-woman team, in October 2021.“We are coming to North America with the ambition that Riot Games will provide us with the opportunity to earn our place in the International League through the Ascension tournament. Over the past six years, we’ve seen how supportive G2 fans are of our successes and our memes in North America,” said Alban Dechelote in the press release.
