Players should note that the game session will end if one player gets disconnected, even if the other player remains connected. Players’ inventories will also remain separate – which means players still have to collect their own items to craft and upgrade items.
Currently, players can enjoy the split screen mode only on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles. PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices are yet to support this functionality, and Epic hasn’t hinted on enabling it for those platforms anytime soon.
As of now, players can enjoy split screen only for Duos and Squads modes within the game, when two players are playing on the same console. It’s the same for Creative, Limited Time Modes (LTMs), and Save the World.
