Many people must be wondering what a Chrome Vortex is and how can a Fortnite player enter one in the game. Well, we have you covered on this topic. There are several ways that players can use to travel across Fortnite’s map, be it D-Launchers that send players flying across the Island, Sharks that players can latch onto, or Chickens that enable players to float through the sky.

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 introduced the Chrome Vortex to the game. This vortex is capable of sucking players up and shooting them right back out. Players will have to enter one of these Chrome Vortexes to complete a weekly quest. In this article, we will discuss how can players enter the Chrome Vortex.

What is a Chrome Vortex?

A Chrome Vortex is an in-game tornado made out of Chrome. If players manage to enter one, they will fly up in the air. Players will then be able to deploy their glider and float back down to the ground.

Players can walk into one of these from the ground or glide straight into it after coming out of the Battle Bus if players are in a hurry to complete this challenge.

Where can players find a Chrome Vortex?

The best way players can find a Chrome Vortex is by looking at the map as soon as a match starts. Players will able to find two Chrome Vortexes on the Island and they can see them marked as white tornado symbols on the map.

Players will almost certainly find one Chrome Vortex at Herald’s Sanctum, with another one spawning at a random location on the game’s map. It means players shouldn’t find it difficult to locate a Chrome Vortex wherever they are.

These Chrome Vortexes stick around for the whole match, although it’s advised to visit one as soon as players jump out of the Battle Bus in case the Storm cuts off their access to Chrome Vortexes as the match moves ahead.

Downloading Fortnite On A PC

Epic Games has reduced the file size of Fortnite on PC by over 60GB. This brings the size of the game to between 25 and 30GB. The average size of the popular game is now around 26GB on PC. The patch that made this possible is actually larger in size on PC compared to other platforms that Fortnite supports.

The move came after Activision and Infinity Ward allowed players to uninstall certain parts of Call of Duty: Warzone to bring down the file size. Warzone got a lot of backlash previously for its huge update sizes.
