Esports tournament organizer and platform FACEIT and cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT have announced a partnership to launch the WhiteBIT Community Clash CS:GO tournament. A ‘total’ of $1m (~£850,675) worth of cryptocurrency Tether (USDT) and FACEIT points from Europe and South America will compete for a chance to win.The clans include several major organizations including Natus Vincere (NAVI), Ninjas in Pajamas (NIP) and Movistar Riders. Additionally, a number of content creators and CS:GO personalities are involved, including Christopher ‘GeT_RiGhT’ Aalesund.
Starting From 15 November, players prove their worth by choosing a clan and participating in matches to earn points. The more members, wins and points you have, the more chances your clan has to reach the finals. At the end of the first stage, the bottom ten clans are eliminated. The remaining clans will compete for a place in the playoffs based on rankings in a single-elimination, best of 3 tournament.Clan leaders will select four players and two substitutes to represent the team in the quarter-finals and semi-finals at DreamHack Valencia. The Finals will see the top 2 clans from each region face off in the event, where they will compete on stage for $1M USDT. Specifically, all members of the winning clan will receive a share of the prize pool.

In February 2022, FACEIT and WhiteBIT formed the partnership by creating new opportunities for gamers with highly lucrative competitions and substantial crypto rewards. FACEIT users already on the platform can participate in dedicated WhiteBit missions and tournaments and win prizes, which they are able to redeem in the cryptocurrency of their choice through the WhiteBit platform. Community Clash unlocks the next chapter in the partnership,by introducing gamers to a groundbreaking competition format, supported by the biggest personalities in esports, and an unprecedented level of rewards, cementing WhiteBIT’s commitment to esports.
