Major League Soccer and Electronic Arts have announced details of the latest edition of EMLS, the North American FIFA-based eSports league.The eMLS 2023 season will feature the largest prize pool in the competition’s history totaling $100,000 (⁓£81,800), as well as a long list of notable commercial partners.Notably, companies such as Coca-Cola, PlayStation, DoorDash, Avant, and JLab, among others, will support the league throughout its duration.Several names on the list have been trusted partners of EMLS over the years, with Coca-Cola being the title sponsor of the 2022 EMLS Cup, and JLAB becoming the official audio and microphone partner of the league in 2021.
The upcoming season will begin on January 24-25 and end with the 2023 EMLS Cup on March 13. The league will be split into three main events, with eMLS League Series 1 and Series 2 taking place in New York City, and the eMLS Cup taking place in Austin, Texas during the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival.Casey ‘KC’ Anderson, the first female content creator to be signed to an EMLS club, will be the official EMLS Season Correspondent this season.
