Microsoft’s update might have spilled the beans for the Diablo 4 launch date, which is expected to launch next year. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed the much-anticipated sequel during BlizzCon 2019, the same show that took the wraps off Overwatch 2.

At the time, the studio did not provide details about Diablo 4’s release timeline. However, an August 2021 shakeup that included the departures of the Game Director and Lead Designer might have pushed the game’s schedule a little further.

Later, both Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 were pushed further. While the latter has been launched, details about Diablo 4’s launch are still scarce. In this article, we will be discussing when the game could hit the stores.

Microsoft Store listing leaks Diablo 4 launch date

As spotted by a Twitter user, the Microsoft Store’s backend recently got an update that featured launch details for the fourth installment in the Diablo franchise. As per the listing, Diablo 4 will hit the store shelves on June 5, 2023.

Further information from the backend notes that the game will be around 80GB in size for Xbox consoles. Besides, players will get a choice to pick from Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions.

Whether this is the final date of launch remains to be seen. However, Blizzard could share the Diablo 4 release date sooner than expected, going by the latest tease. Whatever may be the case, it’s safe to assume that the Diablo 4 launch is just around the corner, considering the fact that an open beta is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2023.
