In order to line up and land the perfect smoke grenade in CS:GO, players need to have great skill in the game. It can take a lot of time to perfect, so practice and dedication are the keys.

Understanding the ins and outs of all the maps can be a time-consuming and arduous task. But with a jumpthrow bind, players can save a lot of time. Jumping and throwing are essential if players want to pull off the perfect smokes. Without jumping, players won’t get the distance they wish. The problem here is the inconsistency. Timing the jump and releasing the grenade even a millisecond apart can make it go down the drain.

That’s where a jumpthrow bind comes to the rescue. It takes out all the elements of inconsistency and makes every jumpthrow count. Players need to line up and use their jumpbind even a hundred times, and it will land exactly at the same place.

How can players make a jumpthrow bind

To create and activate a jumpthrow bind, players are required to set up a config. All players need to do is navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg, create a text file, and name it autoexec.cfg. Once done, players need to open it, and paste the following:

  • alias “+jumpthrow” “+jump;-attack”
  • alias “-jumpthrow” “-jump”
  • bind “[V]” +jumpthrow

Now, players need to click save. If players aren’t keen on binding V for their jumpthrow, they can choose any key they wish. A few good alternatives include the alt key and mouse button four or five.

Once players have saved the text file, they need to right-click on the CS:GO icon in Steam, click Properties, Set Launch Options, and write +exec autoexec.cfg. BY doing so, they will activate their config every time you load up the game.
