The key to using the best Clash Royale Boat Defense for a clan is simpler than one might think. Here’s how you can become a genius in boat battles. Boat Defense is one of the new features in the Clan Wars 2.0 update. However, considering the little amount of information Supercell has provided, knowing what to do can be confusing.

Lack of technical coverage

When players first come across a boat battle, it might look like pure chaos. This is only amplified by the fact the Royale Api, Stats Royale, or DeckShop Pro have covered the mechanics of the mode in detail. This probably has to do with the fact that Boat Battle mechanics aren’t decided permanently by Supercell. So, the creators have been restrained themselves for a while.

Method to the Madness

Firstly, no defensive tower will spawn a troop unless there is some damage caused to it. However, players will probably be aware of this by now. So, there is a specific order in which a player’s defensive troops will spawn in a game.

When players are making their deck, the card in their leftmost slot will spawn first, then the second one will be followed by the third and fourth slotted cards. Besides, a player’s boat defense towers do not have the unlimited elixir and they fill up at about 4-4.5 times the normal rate.

Moreover, a destroyed tower does not stop spawning cards either. It spawns at a slower speed, around 1/3rd of the original. Also, a tower spawns a troop only when its elixir storage is full. As per the spawn rules, different cards have different spots.

So it’s not possible to predict the positions of the spawns. However, ranged units such as a Musky or a dart goblin spawn at the back whereas tanks and buildings spawn in front of a tower. Counter push or Bridge spam troops such as Ram and Hog Riders spawn on the opposite line to the attacker’s line.
