In this scene from the Starting, we see the Falling Devil character attaching a head to herself and realizing that she is naked. She quickly covers herself with a chef’s uniform and introduces herself to the residents of Hell. She proclaims that she will be the chef for the night, fulfilling their request. Meanwhile, Yoru is attempting to escape and also trying to communicate with an unresponsive Asa.

Asa is shown experiencing a traumatic memory from her past, where she was convinced by the lady at the orphanage to give up her beloved cat, Crambon. Asa had saved Crambon at the expense of her mother’s life, and the lady used the excuse that one of the other orphans was allergic to cats. Asa reluctantly agreed, believing that her cat would be given to a friend. However, she later found out that Crambon had been drowned in a nearby river. The lady justified her actions by saying it was unfair for Asa to have a family member while the other orphans had nothing.
