Call of Duty: Warzone is among the famous battle royale games available out there. However, two years after its launch, it is comparatively in a bloated place. While fans are awaiting Modern Warfare 2, the community has urged several times for a fresh start for the battle royale.

Activision has confirmed that a new Warzone will be created from scratch. Players are more excited about it but players who have played the game for the last two years are wondering if the new segment will move the old skins and weapons and everything they put their efforts for.

Warzone 2.0 “Hard Reset” for the title

Call of Duty Warzone came out as a free-to-play experience for players. For the first time in the game’s history, Activision released a game that was free for all. However, Activision added microtransactions to gain profit through battle passes, skins, cosmetics, and others.

After integrating microtransactions with Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, it features weapons Modern Warfare as well, making it one of the biggest arsenals of weaponry in the history of the game.

According to sources, Warzone 2.0 would come in a “clean slate” for old cosmetics and weapons. The leaker Tom Henderson also tweeted that this whole “clean slate” implies a complete “hard reset” for the Call of Duty.

This shows that no weapons or cosmetics will be carried over from the previous segment to the new one. If the leaks are to be believed, the developers want players to have a fresh experience, as per the leaks.

While the Modern Warfare 2 engine will run on the game, it is expected that all the new weapons and cosmetics from the new MW game will come with the new integration. There is no official reveal date or release date for the game yet, but Activision confirmed it is in development.
