It looks like a future update for Call of Duty: MW 2 could add two fan-favorite game modes: Gun Game and Gunfight. Call of Duty games release without some of the most famous multiplayer game modes, only to include them back into the mix post-release in seasonal updates. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 looks like to be proceeding with that trend, as it’s already included fresh modes post-launch and has more coming your way. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: New Game Modes.
Lately, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 data miner BKTOOR5 unearthed icons that recommended the Cranked and Plunder game modes would be included in the fresh game. None of the modes has been declared at the time of this writing, but the presence of the icons indicates that they are, at the very least, being assumed for Modern Warfare 2. Now, as sighted by PC Invasion, BKTOOR5 has found even more icons leaking extra fresh game modes for Modern Warfare 2.
The new icons hints by BKTOOR5 are apparently for the fan favorite Gun Game and Gunfight game modes, toughly suggesting that they will be included to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as a feature of the upcoming update. Gun Game, for the uninitiated, has been a beloved mode since it was declared in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. The idea is easy: all gamers begin with the same gun, and making kills with that gun let them improve to the following one. The first gamer who manages to earn a kill with each weapon wins. Whereas Gun Game is a party game, Gunfight, meanwhile, is far more strong, giving 2v2 or 3v3 matches where gamers only get one life every round.
Gunfight was first brought up to the Call of Duty franchise with the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, and so it was greatly considered that it would be in the latest game, particularly contemplating how famous it was a few years ago. Sadly, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer experience released with no Gunfight in sight, though this leak is motivating for gamers of the game mode.
