Apex Legends’ concurrent player base has been growing steadily since 2021 and it is starting to break some of its records along the way. The Battle Royale title is a fast-paced, action-packed, joyride player gimmick, even years after the hype is over. Apex loves to reward its players with many different events that celebrate skin gathering, holidays and limited time modes.

These events attract players to the left, right and center and this is clearly a winning strategy.  If you need more information about Both Mid-Season Apex Events Have Beaten Season Launch’s Player Highs For First Time Ever then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.

According to SteamDB, mid-season events have also been kind to the response. For the first time, mid-season events have risen above the player count for the launch day of the season. Both Wintertide and Spellbound have come out on top against the Season 15 release, which began on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. This is an obvious first for war royal.

Wintertide was removed on Tuesday, December 6. It took some time to beat season 15 player Shikhar, while Spellbound crossed the concurrent heights of both Wintertide and Season 15 in just a few days while swinging. After hitting the highest concurrent player peak ever on Steam in season 14, the number of Apex Legends had declined. Fans of the game have been complaining about the state of the game on social media, including the lack of major balance changes in season 15, many bugs and what many see as repetitive events. This criticism extends to the latest incident showing the limited-time Winter Express mode for the third consecutive year.

Here are the player shikhar throughout the season.

Apex concurrent player highs in Season 15 :

  • Launch (Nov. 2022): 405, 728
  • Wintertide release (Dec. 2022): 412, 916
  • Spellbound release (January): 411, 917

Another exciting element to apex’s success is the steady growth of players over the past few years. While it had a 511,676 concurrent player peak in August last year, the game has seen steady growth. Since 2021, Apex has been hitting 400,000 players regularly, from just 100,000 concurrent players, with no sign of slowing down. If Dev keeps bringing events, it seems the players will keep coming.
