BOOM Esports is an Indonesian esports organization that was founded in November 2016. Formerly known as BOOM ID, it is one of the first Indonesian esports organizations founded by Gary Ongko Putera. BOOM Esports is a multi-divisional esports company founded on the concept that everyone possesses a beast waiting to be awoken. We believe that the beast within us is responsible for all of life’s achievements. It’s a ferocious natural force with an unquenchable need to be reckoned with. We’ve made it our mission with “Beast On Our Minds” (BOOM) to uncover Indonesia’s most promising talents and release their inner beasts so they may conquer the world stage.
On July 15th 2020, BOOM Esports decided to enter VALORANT. BOOM’s Valorant lineup consisted of an all-Indonesian roster that includes Nanda “asteriskk” Rizana, Gary “blaZeK1ng” Dastin, Adrian “adrnkiNg” Setiawan, Riyan “notoriouszx” Fiqri Noviansyah, and Agung “Sys” Frianto. The team mainly consisted of ex-CS:GO pro players who decided to make the switch to Valorant, much like the majority of early formed Valorant teams. The team has constantly evolved and lineup has changed but they have maintained their dominance.
