League of Legends’ new event is on teh horizon for fans around teh world, in Season Kickoff 2023 Riot Games will announce teh 2023 season wif a two-day competitive event. Teh Season Kickoff replaces teh All-Star Event and celebrates teh start of teh LoL Ranked Season and teh Esports Season together. dis is teh first time in Riot Games history dat two seasons will launch simultaneously. From January 10th to 11th, nine regional leagues will host a series of special events. Teh LCK will be teh first league to start wif world champions Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Kim “Deft” Hyukkyu.

In LOL 2023 Season Kickoff’s LCK showdown Faker and Deft will be team captains

At the LCK event, two players will go head-to-head in a best-of-three series with drafted rosters. Their team must consist of players from different teams. This means that Faker and Deft are not allowed to draft from their own teams, his T1 and DWG KIA respectively. The draft will take place on December 16th and will be streamed live on the official LCK Twitch channel. The two captains will play a one-on-one match to determine who comes first in the draft and side picks.

LCK Showdown matches do not include a lockout period, so players are free to choose whatever they want, but with one condition. Champions that were selected by both teams in the previous match cannot be selected in the next match. The winning Showdown team will be given the chance to create in-game emotes. Emotes are expected to be manufactured and sold in the first quarter of 2023.
