As per a recent News18 report, it is speculated that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) could make a comeback to the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store for a three-month period. The popular battle royale game had been removed from these platforms over eight months ago. However, in order for BGMI to relaunch, its developer, Krafton, needs to incorporate some significant changes into the game. These include time restrictions on gameplay and modifications to its graphics. Once these changes have been made, the game may become available for Indian players to download once again, albeit for a limited period. BGMI’s may return to India with Modified Gameplay and Time Limits for players.

After some modifications, BGMI could make a comeback

News18’s report states that after a meeting between government officials and Krafton, it has been suggested that the ban on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) could be lifted for a limited time, provided certain changes are made to the game. The government has recommended that the game’s developer make specific modifications to the original version before it can be relaunched. The decision to unblock BGMI was initiated after Krafton made certain changes to the game and assured the government that it would adhere to all regulations. This development brings hope for BGMI fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the game’s return to the Indian market.

The stated adjustments that BGMI needs to make are as follows:

Playtime limit: As per the report, the game’s relaunch in India would entail specific restrictions on gameplay hours, as players will not be able to play BGMI around the clock as they did previously. However, there is no mention of the exact duration of the gameplay time limit that Krafton is expected to set for players.

No blood: According to the report, Krafton has informed the Indian government that the new version of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will not feature blood, as the developer intends to alter its colour. The report highlights that this modification has already been introduced in the game, and resembles the version of the game currently available in China, titled Peacekeeper Elite. Presently, BGMI only supports green and yellow coloured blood. It remains to be seen whether Indian players will be satisfied with the altered colour of the blood in the game or if it could spark controversy, considering the existing sensitivities surrounding gaming content in India.

Other internal changes and server: The Indian government has requested that Krafton, the developer of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), implement changes to the game’s servers and gameplay mechanics in response to concerns about potential addiction and incidents of violence and self-harm among players.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was unexpectedly removed from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store by the Indian government on July 28th, 2022. Reports surfaced that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) had blocked the game under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000. Despite several rumors about the game’s potential return, it remains suspended, and Krafton, the developer, has not provided any updates about its status. However, a recent report has given BGMI fans a glimmer of hope, indicating that the game’s return may be imminent. While there is still no official confirmation, the news brings anticipation that Indian players may soon be able to resume their virtual battle royale adventures in BGMI.
