Krafton has finally announced the release of the BGMI 1.8 update after a long wait. The highly anticipated update arrives after the developer teased a Spider-Man event and the Aftermath mode map a few weeks ago.

Players can try Battle Royale games on the new map in the Unranked mode after downloading the map from the Resources section. Aftermath’s new features set it apart from the competition.

The Livik map has been redesigned and has the same dimensions as the Aftermath map (2×2 km). However, the map now has a futuristic appearance, with bombed-out structures and cities that have been ravaged by volcanic eruptions. When players arrive on the Aftermath map, they will notice significant variations in the wrecked environs.

Due to its inclusion in the new Unranked section, BGMI players can enjoy the map without worry of receiving negative points. Furthermore, the futuristic vibes of the Aftermath map are reflected in the growth of science and technology in various fields.

The AC Core Module, which will assist players aim better and handle recoil more efficiently, will be included in all weaponry. The futuristic Tactical Glasses, which indicate damage caused to an enemy while shooting at them, are another new feature added to the map. This can aid players in better comprehending their gunfighting abilities.

Garena Free Fire gamers who have been wanting to try BGMI can now do so and see how similar the two games are. The new zipline feature, as well as the new wide shield feature (which is similar of the gloo wall) in the new map, are evocative of Free Fire.

Participants in Battlegrounds Mobile India will be able to enjoy the new map for a long time because the lobby capacity is limited to 50 players.
