The BGIS 2021 is Krafton’s first official tournament for BGMI players. The buzz around the event has been huge since the company announced it in August last year. However, it took some time before the tournament got some traction, with players coming in from all across India.
After the In-game Qualifiers got over, the Online Qualifiers started with 1024 teams, who qualifies from the previous round. The third round saw 32 invited teams taking on 224 qualified teams to pave the way to the Quarterfinals. The business end of the tournament began on January 2 when the quarterfinals started. 24 teams are currently battling to grab a spot in the Grand Finals.
The final is scheduled to be played between January 13 and January 16. The winners will not be crowned as the first-ever BGMI esports champions, but will also fix a spot in the Grand Finals of the PMGC 2021 that has prize money of Rs. 1 crore. 16 teams from the Semis will make it to the Grand Finals.
After the success of BGIS: The Grind, Online Qualifiers, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals, the company is hoping more viewers to watch the Grand Finals on YouTube. The final of BGIS 2021 will be streamed live on the game’s official YouTube channel.

14 BGMI teams and 10 rising teams fought each other in the Semifinals of BGIS 2021. Only the top 16 teams went past that round to reach the Grand Finals after playing some intense matches. Here are the teams that will participate in the Grand Finals of BGIS 2021:
