BGIS The Grind, a two-week official practise scrim, kicks off on November 4th. A total of 32 invitees will compete for a prize pool of 2 lakhs INR, divided into four groups of eight teams each. The winner would receive a prize of one lakh Indian rupees.
“BGIS 2021,” the first official open BGMI event, will begin on December 4, 2021. The top 32 teams will be invited directly to the third round of online qualifications, which will take place from December 27 to December 30.
Format of BGIS: The Grind
League Stage: This is the tournament’s first stage, which will last six days till December 10. Every day, five matches (four classic and one fun) will be contested across three maps. The top 16 clubs from each of the league stages will progress to the following round.

Finals: On December 11 and 12, the top 16 teams will compete in a series of ten matches, with the winning team being named champions.

The seasoned teams will use these scrims as a warm-up for the BGIS. Team Soul, with its new lineup, will be the team to watch, as they have the potential to surprise with their performance. The performance of tournament favourites Team X Spark and Godlike against other teams will be fascinating to watch. The scrims will be broadcast live on Battlegrounds Mobile India’s official YouTube channel.
