After completing the third round of qualifying, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series is moving on to the next stage of competition. The number of teams has decreased dramatically, as the top 64 contestants will not compete for a place in the semi-finals. The BGIS Quarter Finals are detailed here, with groupings, teams, and match timing.

BGIS is Krafton Inc.’s first official event, with a hefty prize pool of Rs. 1 crore. The victors of this tournament will also have a great opportunity to represent India on the international level, as they will be seeded for the PMGC World Finals in 2021.

In the third round of qualification, 224 teams from open qualifiers were mixed with 32 invited teams. There were many surprises at this stage of the tournament as famous names failed to qualify, but after a tough competition, 64 deserving rosters will compete in the quarterfinals.

Teams to watch out for in BGIS Quarter Finals

The Quarter-Finals Group 1 appears to be extremely packed. The battle in the group will be fierce, with teams like TSM, XSpark, Skylightz Gaming, and Celsius in red-hot form. TSM made a statement in the third round of the online qualifiers, scoring 110 points in only three games, including a whopping 31 frag chicken.

Teams with a lot of experience, such as Team XO, GodLike Esports, and 7Sea Esports, are the ones to watch in their respective groups. Intriguingly, Team SouL and GodLike Esports have been placed in the same group as each other. Their battle will be entertaining to witness, as both sides are fan favourites.

Global Esports has taken on a new look with the acquisition of top player Slayer. The team’s performance in the Online Qualifiers was outstanding, as they took first place in their group. In the quarter-finals, the team will try to repeat their performance.

Team Mayavi will be the team to watch among the underdogs. The team has had rapid growth in recent competitions and is expected to make an impact in the Quarter-Finals.

BGIS Live Stream
