Get ready anime fans, as we present our best 5 underrated anime list which you can binge straight right now. I mean, it’s reasonable to assume that a highly rated show is popular because of the positive reviews and ratings it has received. Some shows, like School Days, merely have a lot of viewers because they go viral.

In my opinion, an underappreciated program these days is one that you thought was decent and on par with or even better than many of the popular series, but you don’t hear much about it or recommend it, even though you think it should be more widely seen.

Here we have four average Japanese people. Someone summons them to Melromarc, and they must rescue it. As they face up against the Waves, they are each equipped with a different weapon: a sword, spear, bow, and shield. Naofumi is one of the men chosen to be the “Shield Hero.” However, he lacks superhuman strength, and his weapon is merely a shield, which makes him unpopular.

He forms an alliance with Malty, who appears to be supporting him. Everyone despises him because she betrays him and publishes false information about him. Despite his pain, Naofumi resolves to show himself by becoming stronger. Season one was really interesting and this series became quite popular after the anime.

4. Gate: Jietai Kanochi nite

This is one of those series that are not talked rarely and deserved a spot in our best 5 underrated anime list. Youji is a soldier who loves manga and anime. Various mythical beings and legendary knights from the annals of time erupt from this doorway. They start injuring people, destroying the city, and making havoc.

Instead of fleeing, Youji helps save lives. Akin to Japan’s armed forces, the Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF) resists the aggressors. Youji receives a unique assignment after a few months have passed. He is in command of a group that will enter the other planet through the portal to investigate current events and perhaps form friendships with locals—particularly with the massive empire that controls that world. Peace, if possible, is what they seek.

2. Overlord

Momonga, the protagonist of the Overlord anime, is a formidable mage and strategist. In a virtual world, he oversees a sinister guild.
