The popular Netflix series Arcane took the OTT world by surprise. The show is based on the popular Riot PC game League of Legends and had the potential to a huge letdown like the film Warcraft. However, to everyone’s surprise, Arcane received a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Not just that, the series also received 9 Annie nominations for 2022.
The credit of this success can be given to the fresh-faced writers Alex Lee and Christian Linke (both are members of the Riot creative team), who worked for years in the background of the game and brought the stories of sisters and League Champions Jinx and Vi to life.
They also employed the services of Studio Fortiche, which is owned by artists who choose quality over pressure. Their style pushed the limits of 2D and 3D animation and gave birth to the moving piece of art called Arcane.

It wasn’t a surprise when Season 1 came to an end. Riot confirmed that the series will see another season. So here’s what we can expect from the upcoming season of the series.
Arcane Season 2 will be released on Netflix, with the potential for an episode to be shown on Twitch as well. However, one thing we can be sure of is that it’s not coming anytime soon. The first season took 6 years to make, and Arcane’s official Twitter account confirmed that Season 2 has been ‘in production’ since November last year.
And there has been only a tiny teaser which also confirms the show wouldn’t be coming to Netflix in 2022, we can only hope for a 2023 release.
