Apex Legends: Top 3 least played legends in game

There will inevitably be some characters with more useful abilities than others, or that are simply more enjoyable for most people to use, despite the fact that developers typically try to create characters with abilities that fit into a variety of play styles and player preferences. And Apex Legends reflects that as well.

The fact that some characters end up being more well-liked than others is a natural result of designing a hero shooter with a variety of characters and abilities. There will inevitably be some characters with more useful abilities than others, or that are simply more enjoyable for most people to use, despite the fact that developers typically try to create characters with abilities that fit into a variety of play styles and player preferences. And Apex Legends reflects that as well.

It’s interesting to note that some of the top players in Apex don’t always consider the most popular characters to be the “best.” Legends like Pathfinder, Octane, and Wraith still have some of the highest pick rates in the game even though professional players no longer frequently use them. Usually, this is due to the fun and unique movement abilities of those characters, or because they make it possible for solo warriors to just hot drop and frag.

Apex Legends: Top 3 least played legends in game

Some of the least played characters in the game aren’t necessarily the worst in terms of power level. Sure, some of these lesser-played characters may have less powerful or interesting abilities. Others, on the other hand, can be quite powerful in the right hands. They simply necessitate a style of play that is less obvious or appealing to the average player base.

Nine characters in the game are chosen in more than 4% of games, according to Apex Legends Status (ALS), which we’ll use to identify who the least played characters currently are (Octane has the current highest pick rate at 11 percent). The remaining nine characters comprise the game’s middle range of pick rates, which range from 4% to 2%. Five legends, however, are chosen less frequently than 2% at the very bottom.

5.Revenant – 1.5 percent

Due to his fantastic visual design and entertaining skins, Revenant was once a surprisingly well-liked niche choice, but in season 16, he has fallen to the bottom. It’s also not all that surprising given that he currently has neither particularly powerful nor particularly enjoyable abilities.

Players can successfully use Revenant’s Death Totem ultimate to gain an advantage over an opposing team if the circumstances are right. But at this point in Apex’s development, the majority of players are fairly familiar with how to counter that tactic: kite as far away from the pushing Rev team as you can, wait for their Death Protection to wear off, and then light them up when they become vulnerable once more.

Teams in Death Protection typically push without giving positioning much thought, so if and when the protected form drops, it’s simple to catch one or two in the open. The rest of Revenant’s kit is merely meagre. Although he has the tactical ability of Silence and the passive ability of Stalker, most other characters in the game are either more consistently useful, more enjoyable to use, or both.

4. Gibraltar – 1.4 percent

Gibraltar had long been a source of confusion for Apex’s balance team. At the pinnacle of the game, both in competitive play and on the ranked leaderboards, he was one of the most dominant legends. In an ALGS match, every single team would frequently select a Gibraltar. On the other hand, because he is a support legend who relies heavily on timing and teamwork, he has never been a very popular legend pick with the entire Apex player base. That is still the case, and most recently, he has also left the professional meta.

The best aspects of Gibraltar revolve around allowing his team to restart in challenging circumstances. Gibraltar can quickly and safely revive teammates who have been knocked out thanks to The Dome of Protection, and his ultimate is frequently more effective at denying space than it is at securing kills. Gibraltar was a monster in close-quarters combat thanks to his gun shield and fortified perk.

However, Gibraltars frequently find themselves left out to dry by overly aggressive teammates when they play on an uncoordinated team. Additionally, if you’re not hitting all of your shots, it’s simple to lose one-on-one battles against the character because he has no independent movement abilities and a large hitbox. He can now be easily defeated by more well-known legends like Seer and Mad Maggie.

The key to success in Apex, according to many players, is switching between fights quickly. Gibraltar just seems a little bit boring when you can play characters that slingshot themselves across the map using a grappling hook, a bounce pad, a Gravity Lift, or through an invulnerable portal.

1.Newcastle – 1.1 percent

As a shield character to replace Gibraltar and a more active support legend who could persuade players to buy into the superhero fantasy, Newcastle entered the game with the apparent goal of filling a very specific niche. When he teleports to teammates with his ultimate, he jumps further. By shielding and removing downed teammates from danger, he defends the weak. With his Mobile Shield, he advances.

Newcastle is still a significant shield figure, which is unfortunate. He is also a character that Apex players have all but completely given up on since his release, earning him the title of least-picked character in Apex at the time of writing with a pitiful 1.1 percent pick rate.

Since his ultimate grants him a movement ability that can launch him across the map in the blink of an eye, Newcastle is actually better for running into a fight than some of his fellow defensive legends. This movement ability can be used to engage or to escape quickly. However, he still has a big, bulky build that makes him very vulnerable to attack from foes.

Even the Fortified perk doesn’t help average players much because they will still miss their fair share of shots in a close-range one-on-one because they are so much easier to shoot. His ability to move while reviving also lacks the impact and dynamism of Lifeline’s revive, which enables you to continue fighting while reviving an ally.

He has a slightly higher skill ceiling that, when reached, can make him a good brawling character, but because so much of his ability kit is still focused on helping teammates, he trails other legends when most Apex players are choosing their favourite.
