On August 4, 2021, EA revealed that the game averages 13 million weekly active players. Season 9 also created history for daily peak players across all seasons. During the earnings call in February 2022, EA said that the game witnessed a 30% growth in new players YoY for the second year straight. And, Apex Legends is certain to get another massive boost in players this year, as its mobile launch is highly anticipated.

As for the game’s live player count, Steam is the only platform that has revealed accurate statistics of the game, which can be accessed through their API. Apex Legends was brought to Steam in November 2020, and the player count has been growing ever since. Season 9 saw a peak of 330,879 players (on Steam), which was followed by 330,476 for Season 10.
