As such, tournament organizers did not allow fans to attend the event, and the LAN consisted only of eligible players and their coaches and managers. The LAN will be held at the Copper Box Arena in London, the venue used for many of the events at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Although the venue is not as large as the PNC Arena, where the 2022 ALGS Championship was held in Raleigh, North Carolina, Copper Box is no stranger to eSports events. It has hosted DreamHack tournaments for games like CS:GO and Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Rocket League has visited the arena several times, last appearing last June for the 2021/2022 Spring Major.

The event will most likely be accompanied by little space of noise and pressure on the teams competing for the $1 million prize pool. While 40 teams will enter, only one can win the $300,000 first place prize.Teams will compete in pool play and then a double-elimination bracket stage during the first three days of the event, leading up to the grand finale on Sunday. Only the top 20 teams will advance to the finals, where Apex’s signature match point format will be in effect. Teams must race up to 50 points and then win a game to take top honors.

However, this is not the only Apex tournament that will take place in London. The ALGS organizers also announced that the rest of the ALGS would take place in year three’s LAN city. This means that the Split Two playoffs in the spring and the ALGS Championship in the summer will also be coming to the UK in 2023.

Tickets for the event will be available for both one day passes and passes for all four days of the tournament. News of other LAN events moving to London next year will be given in the new year. For now, though, all eyes are on London, where the world’s best Apex players will fight for the crown.
