If you logged into Apex Legends today and were confused by the absence of Olympus in both Rank and Play Apex game modes, you’re not alone. Despite having the intended map for the rank for the final section of Season 15, Respawn announced today that Olympus has been temporarily disabled.

The developers told the community that Olympus needed to be disabled to fix the common “engine error – UI image run out of room” error code, which has plagued players and crash servers since the new Split update on Tuesday, January 17. When it comes to bugs, Apex Legends can’t get a break sometimes. It seems that the game has always had at least one or two game-breaking bugs since the first season – and every hotfix, update, and season adds new problems for the development team to deal with.

Obviously, this error was happening only because of Olympus, and the map will be disabled, while Response sees corrections for the error. Meanwhile, the rank has shifted to the World’s Age.It’s unclear whether the map is also a part of the problem that has seen many players in the rankings reporting that Masters and Predator players are also going into the lobby with young or bronze players. It could be that this phenomenon is part of the new matchmaking system that is working its knots as Response works to introduce it and retire the old SBMM system that was previously used.

Regardless, it seems that Olympus enjoyers have been out of luck for some time because their favorite map is a problem plaguing the game. This is the case in all Battle Royale modes as well as control, where it seems that the normal Hammond Labs map has also been removed from LTM’s map rotation. Instead, barometers and lava siphons have as long periods as a “live” control map.

Whatever the problem, Respawn will be eager to fix it as soon as possible. The bugs that have plagued the game since the spellbound update and the subsequent split change have been the worst in the game since the season 12 update a year ago, which prompted Respon to gift several free Battle Pass levels to all players.
