Some of the elite teams that have recently changed rosters on the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023 Tour 1 have not fared well, with Team Secret in Western Europe (WEU) possibly at the top of this list at the moment. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s club, which is currently last in the standings and has already lost all four of its games, faces the possibility of being demoted to Division II. In a recent defeat to Entity, Secret was defeated. In spite of the fact that Secret won its opening game of the competition in this series, it was utterly outplayed throughout the best of three series, with very few moments of pushback. Highlights and recap from the Team Secret vs. Entity match

Recap

Entity completely outperformed Secret in game 1. The entity had a far quicker draught, and the group made the most of it by playing aggressively and following Secret around all the time. Due to Secret’s slower draught, it was unable to keep up with opposing manoeuvres, with BOOM, in particular, finding it challenging throughout the entire game. With only nine kills after 36 minutes compared to Entity’s 40, Secret offered no resistance and ultimately lost the game.

Secret chose to play one of Zayac’s famous Techies in game 2, and he excelled. Although the laning stage was evenly distributed, after it Secret’s heroes began consistently securing important kickoffs. When Entity overextended in the middle of the game, Secret gained the upper hand and won a crucial team fight close to the Roshan pit. The team then played carefully for the remaining 41 minutes to secure its first victory in the competition.

Game 3 was essentially a carbon copy of game 1, with Entity outperforming Secret in the laning phase. Secret’s heroes had trouble picking the right fights in the other two lanes, while BOOM played brilliantly in the midlane. This provided all Entity cores with the necessary room, and while the game’s initial pace was slow, Stormstormer topped the net worth chart by a significant margin because of his farming prowess and Hand of Midas. Once Entity had amassed enough starting materials, it increased its aggression, which caused Secret to start shedding bodies one by one. With only five kills compared to Entity’s 30 in 31 minutes, Secret was defeated.

Highlights

Here are the Highlights moments of the series

Given where it was a few months ago when it took part in The International 11 (TI11championship)’s game, Secret’s recent sluggish start to the current season has been an amazing reversal. The sole modification was the substitution of Miroslav “BOOM” Bian for Micha “Nisha” Jankowski, however, it is obvious that this alteration had a big impact on the team’s performance. For the remaining matches, Secret will take on Tundra Esports, Nigma Galaxy, and Into the Breach (ITB), although the matches against Nigma and ITB will be essential for the squad to stay up.
