Arsenal will travel to London Stadium to take on West Ham United in the eye-catching London derby on Sunday. Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit fourth in the Premier League standings with 60 points from 30 games, while West Ham, who have played a game more, occupy seventh spot, eight points away from the top-four. David Moyes’ side lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final fixture in the mid-week, while Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-1 last weekend. Mikel  Arteta’s side are assured of a Champions League spot for next season, if they don’t drop any points in their remaining fixtures while West Ham’s chances of securing a top-four finish looks bleak but they are in the driving seat to clinch a Europa League or Europa Conference League spot.

West Ham’s domestic form hasn’t been great off late

In the English capital on Thursday, probably the biggest European night in West Ham’s history, started in the worst possible fashion with Ansgar Knauff putting the German side ahead with less than a minute on the clock. Although the Hammers did manage to level the score courtesy of Michail Antonio’s goal on 21 minutes, Daichi Kamada’s second-half goal ensured that the visitors would take a one goal advantage back to Frankfurt. Amid their quest for European glory, West Ham’s domestic season has suffered, with two defeats and a loss in their last three league games. Last weekend, the Hammers lost 1-0 at Chelsea courtesy of Christian Pulisic’s last-ditch strike.

Arsenal aiming to make it four wins in a row

On the other hand, Arsenal are in very good form having won three successive games to move back to the top-four. Their latest victory came against the Red Devils courtesy of goals from Nuno Tavares, Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka. and the result killed the Old Trafford outfit’s top-four hopes. The Gunners have now non won six of their last eight away games in the top flight and will be aware that West Ham won’t be an easy place to play at present. The Hammers are pretty good at home, having scored in each one of their league matches at home soil this season, and they have collected 14 points from the last 18 on offer on home turf.

Probable Lineups

West Ham defender Criag Dawson will be out with suspension after receiving a red card against Chelsea. Meanwhile Angelo Ongbonna’s lengthy recovery and Issa Diop’s ankle injury have severely depleted Moyes’ options at the back, but Kurt Zouma made a quick recovery to play a full 90 minutes against Frankfurt.

As for Arsenal, Buyako Saka is reportedly expected to be fit and well for the clash, with the winger back in training alongside his teammates after being taken off against Manchester United. Meanwhile Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey are still sidelined with injuries.

West Ham United probable starting lineup: Fabianski, Coufal,Johnson, Zouma, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Yarmolenko, Vlasic, Benrahma, Antonio.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale, Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tavares, Xhaka, Elneny, Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli, Nketiah
