The left-handed batsman has been brilliant ever since he was seen the under 19 side of the New Zealand team. Tom Latham is the son of former Kiwi cricketer Rod Latham. Latham made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in January 2012 and the same year he also made his T20 debut against West Indies. His Test debut was against India in 2014 where he replaced Ross Taylor in the playing XI. Latham has been a regular in the Black Caps side in all three formats. Appointed as the captain of New Zealand national team at the age of 25, Tom Latham has done well so far, having captained in 6 matches and winning 5 of them.
