Brooks has had a challenging career, he made a comeback after being out of the team for several years. He captained the West Indies U-19 cricket team in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, made his first-class cricket debut for Barbados in 2007, and played for the West Indies under-19 cricket team in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup as well.
