Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran was born on 28 March 2001. He is an Afghan cricketer, who made headlines two months after his international debut, at the age of 16 years and 325 days, when he became the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in a One Day International game as well. However, he was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan’s first-ever Test match, against India, in June 2018.

He made his List A debut for Speen Ghar Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament on 10 August 2017 as well whereas he made his T20 debut for Boost Defenders in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 11 September 2017 as well. Notably, in November 2017, he was signed by Comilla Victorians for the 2017–18 Bangladesh Premier League as well. Meanwhile, in January 2018, he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab in the 2018 IPL auction. In fact, on 8 April 2018, at the age of 17 years and 11 days, he became the youngest player to play in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.

He played for Hampshire County Cricket Club in the 2018 t20 Blast tournament in England. In September 2018, he was named to Nangarhar’s squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament as well. However, in February 2019, he was signed by Middlesex County Cricket Club for the 2019 t20 Blast tournament in England. Moreover, on 30 December 2020, in the 2020–21 Big Bash League season, he picked up his first five-wicket haul in T20 cricket, with 5 for 15 for the Brisbane Heat against the Hobart Hurricanes as well.

Notably, he was the highest wicket-taker in the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup with twenty wickets in five matches that helped them win their maiden ACC Under-19 Cup title. He made his ODI debut against Ireland on 5 December 2017. On debut, he claimed 4 wickets for 24 runs in 10 overs as well. He made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe on 5 February 2018 whereas on 16 February 2018 against Zimbabwe at Sharjah, he took his maiden ODI five-wicket haul. And, he also became the youngest player ever to take an ODI five-wicket haul and was named the man of the match as well.
