Mark Chapman is a professional New Zealand cricketer. He plays the role of a left-arm spinner and a left-hand batter, he represents the national team in the T20 format and bats in the top order. Chapman was born on the 27th of June 1994 in Hong Kong. The all-rounder has a Chinese mother and a Kiwi father. He started playing cricket at a tender age and went through the ranks. Having started off his cricket in Hong Kong who is yet to establish themselves at the international circuit, Chapman never really managed to make a name for himself despite reaching a significant landmark in his debut game. He went on to score an ODI century in his debut. He achieved that feat against UAE in 2015 when he smashed a sensational 124. It was his consistent performances for Hong Kong which helped them gain promotion from Division three to two in 2011.

Chapman represented Hong Kong in the U-19 World Cup at the age of 15, Mark Chapman moved to New Zealand for better cricket opportunities. The left-handed batter made his debut for New Zealand in 2018 against England but didn’t get a chance to feature in the Playing XI. Chapman has gone from strength to strength and now has become a regular feature in the New Zealand white ball setup, apart from batting, he can bowls some handy leg spin bowling.
