Mark Adair is a professional cricketer, who plays for Ireland cricket team Internationally. Mark has represented Ireland cricket team in all the three formats of the game. Mark was born on 27 March 1996 in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. He is a right arm fast bowler, who is capable of putting constant pressure on the opposition by his pace and skills. In domestic cricket, Mark plays for Northern Knights. Mark has also been a part of England county cricket, as he has represented Warwickshire County Cricket Club. He has been given a central contract by Ireland cricket club since 2020. Mark is also seen contributing in the batting department, as he has got a decent batting average in One Day Internationals (ODI). 

It was in the 2016 NatWest T20 Blast, when Mark played his T20 debut match for Warwickshire against Worcestershire Rapids on 27 May 2016. Marcus Trescothic was Mark’s first ever first class wicket. In the 2017 Royal London one day cup, Mark played his List A cricket debut match on 10 May 2017. In the first edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket championship, Mark was selected to play for Belfast Titans in July 2019. Nevertheless, the tournament got canceled the very next month. In the 2022 Inter Provincial Cup, Mark scored his first List A cricket hundred, in May 2022. He scored 108 runs while playing against Munster Reds.

It was in June 2016 for the first time, when Mark was selected in Ireland’s One Day Internationals team for their series against Afghanistan. However, he couldn’t make it to playing eleven. In 2019, Mark was again selected in Ireland’s team for their single ODI match against England. On 3 May 2019, Mark played his ODI debut match for Ireland against England. Mark was also included in Ireland Wolves’ team for their home series against Scotland A team. Later, he became part of the Ireland team that played against Zimbabwe in the ODI series. Mark got the opportunity to play his first Test match, when he was selected to play against England in Ireland’s one off Test match in July 2019..

On 12 July 2019, Mark played his T20 International debut match for Ireland against Zimbabwe. On 24 July 2019, he played his debut Test match against England and later, he was given his central contract by the Ireland Cricket Board. He became part of the Ireland team that played in the 2019 ICC cricket world cup. Mark was the leading wicket taking bowler in Ireland with 12 wickets in just 8 matches. Later in 2021, Mark played for Ireland Wolves against Bangladesh. He also became part of the Ireland team that played in the 2021 ICC T20 world cup. Mark has played a total of 105 International matches for Ireland and he has managed to take 140 wickets in total. His best performance has been seen in limited overs games so far according to the stats.
