Finn Allen is a professional New Zealand cricketer. He plays the role of a right-handed opening batter in the team and represents the national team in the white ball setup. Known for his aggressive gameplay, he likes to take advantage of the powerplay by providing quick starts at the top of the order. Allen started his professional career playing for Auckland’s U17 team at the age of 14 and soon made it into the U19 side. Impressive domestic performances saw him included in New Zealand’s squad for the 2016 ICC U19 World Cup and also went on to play the next U19 World Cup, two years later.

Allen first got recognition on the back of his sensational performance in the 2020-21 Super Smash Tournament. He smashed 512 runs in 11 matches making him the leading run-getter of the tournament helping his team the Wellington Firebirds clinch the title. On the back of this performance, he got his maiden callup in the senior squad as a standby player. The New Zealand opener made his international debut against Bangladesh in the second T20I match on March 28th, 2021.

Finn Allen was picked in the 2022 T20 World Cup, The 21-year old opened the batting with Martin Guptill and played one of the most blistering and fearless knocks against hosts Australia.
